The Colon: Where Health & Disease Begin

The colon is five to six feet long, absorbs water and nutrients back into circultation, has a microbial terrain that is often out of balance, and serves to eliminate fecal matter, thereby decreasing our body’s toxic burden.

The Equipment
At South Granville Naturopathic Clinic, we use the most advanced Colon
Hydrotherapy system: the Aquanet EC-2000. This top-of-the-line system is used in medical clinics throughout the world and is Health Canada & FDA approved.
The Aquanet EC-2000 is a closed system with 3 stages of water purification including ultra-violet light. It allows for both gravity and pressure filling, and features APST technology for the most comfortable water pressure.
The Treatment
Colon Hydrotherapy uses water to gently clean the colon. During the treatment, the patient is draped with a towel. With the patient lying down on a comfortable treatment table, a disposable speculum is gently inserted into the rectum. Purified water then gradually flows into the colon via a small tube. As the water leaves the colon, the therapist gently massages the abdomen to help release its contents. This cycle is repeated several times. In this manner, the water gradually moves up further in the colon, until eventually the entire colon is rinsed.
Most treatments are 45 minutes. Some treatments will have Ozone added at the end to help normalize the microbial terrain of the colon.
