The procedure involves a two step process starting with the use of the Skin Bella for exfoliation and then the Acthyderm microcurrent treatment for firming and smoothing.
The SKIN BELLA skin rejuvenation system utilizes a dull, flat metal spatula emitting high-speed, low-frequency ultrasonic oscillation, for the safe and effective exfoliation of the outer layers of the epidermis. The rapid oscillation of the spatula applied to the skin which has been wetted, produces controlled exfoliation.

Acthyderm was developed by Microlab Biomedicals of Italy in 2000. It is used throughout Europe by doctors and spas to rejuvenate the skin without surgery or injections. Acthyderm is effective on the face and in treating cellulite, stretch marks and hyper-pigmentation.
Acthyderm is a transdermal electrodiffusion system that delivers large volumes of skin rejuvenation product through the outer layer, down to the deepest layers of the skin. It is safe, painless, does no damage to the areas treated and works well with most cosmetic techniques including microdermabrasion.
It begins with electroporation, the principal method of Acthyderm. Electroporation is applied with a special pen that stimulates the skin to temporarily become more permeable. Most skin products cannot penetrate the protective layers of your skin to get valuable ingredients down where they're needed most. Effective products like vitamin C, coenzyme Q10, hyaluronic acid, proteins and amino acids moisturize the upper levels of the skin but can't get down to the layers where rebuilding occurs. With electroporation, results are excellent because so much of the product is absorbed down to the basal layers of the skin. Results are obvious very quickly. Patients will notice the difference right after the treatment as their skin feels smoother, firmer, more radiant and youthful.
Another benefit is the fact that the treatment is absolutely painless and has no down time—you can go back to work right afterwards. Treatments generally are between 30 – 60 minutes. A typical face treatment for wrinkles would be once or twice a week for 10 sessions in total, followed by a monthly maintenance treatment.
